Stuart Barker (Ba hons)
Stuart is a professional multi-instrumentalist who has performed regularly at venues such as Ronnie Scott's, The 606 club, The Barbican and Southbank.
Stuart began his studies under John Summerfield concentrating on classical music and went on to pass his Grade eight in just a few years. After forming bands and playing around Kent and London, Stuart was accepted onto the Birmingham Conservatoire and left with a wealth of performance opportunities and The Jazz course prize in 2014.
He has since played all over the world and some of the UK's leading venues such as Ronnie Scott's, The Barbican, The 606, Southbank and has worked with people such as Adreas Bochelli, Clark Tracey, Made in Chelsea, The BBC and many more.
Stuart is also available for guitar and bass lessons and is our dedicated theory teacher at the Institute.
