Revised Terms & Conditions: Effective 1st August 2019
1-to-1 instrumental lessons at Thame Institute of Music are charged as follows:
By commencing/continuing 1-to-1 lessons you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below.
We book your lesson time on a weekly basis for EVERY week of the year (unless agreed with yourself and your tutor). We allow you to cancel up to TWO WORKING DAYS before ANY lesson via email (for example if your lesson is on a Monday you will need to cancel before the weekend). If you are in the unfortunate position where you need to cancel within 2 working days, the lesson will be charged at the full rate. This includes last minute illness as staff still need to be paid for their time.
If you wish to terminate lessons with TIM we need one month's notice via email. If you have any issues regarding payment or a cancellation, please contact us directly at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
Invoices will be sent in the first week of the month (roughly) we ask that this payment is made within 7 days however this MUST be paid within 10 working days from the date of the invoice.
Late payment charge
• If the invoice is not settled within 7 days you will receive an automated reminder via email.
• If the invoice goes past 10 days you will be charged £10 (late payment charge).
• If payment is not received past 14 days lessons will be paused until we have received
payment. If you feel you are unable to pay the invoice then please feel free to contact Stuart
or Lucinda to discuss your reasons as a payment plan may be possible.
Provision of Lessons
Lessons will be provided to you at Blackfrog Studios, OX9 3SZ, unless otherwise specified. All lessons will be provided by a tutor who has a valid DBS check. Your lessons will be facilitated by a primary tutor allocated to you. If your tutor is away for any reason, we will endeavour to ensure that the lesson is covered by another suitably qualified tutor. If we cannot provide cover, then we will always attempt to contact you prior to the lesson and payments will be allocated to the next unpaid lesson. Please ensure we are advised of your current home and mobile numbers to facilitate this.
